What if technology could connect us more deeply with our surroundings instead of distracting us from the real world?

Believe it or not, we DO live in another world.  A new area of technology called "Augmented Reality" is being developed.  According to Wikipedia, "Augmented Reality (AR) is a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented (or supplemented) by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data."

At Meta, Meron Gribetz is developing a new product that allows one to see, grab and move holograms with natural hand gestural hand recognition.  The objective is to extend our senses through a more natural machine.
