Reversal of Memory Loss is Possible

Did you know that¬†Alzheimer’s Disease¬†affects 5.4 million Americans and a total of 30 million people globally?¬† By 2050 it is projected that as many as 13 million Americans and 160 million people globally will be affected by this debilitating disease.¬† This makes Alzheimer’s Disease the 3rd leading cause of death, behind cardiovascular disease and cancer.¬† And, it is predicted that if these devastating numbers are achieved, the result will lead to Medicare bankruptcy.¬†¬† Not a pretty picture, is it?

But, here is some good news!¬† The¬†Buck Institute of Research on Aging¬†and the¬†UCLA Eastern Lab on Neurodegenerative Disease Research¬†have just announced results from some promising research that indicates that reversal of memory loss from Alzheimer’s Disease is POSSIBLE.¬† That’s right: memory loss in patients can be reversed.

Based on a very small trial of only 10 patients, using a personalized systems approach to memory disorders, memory loss can be reversed for people in the early stage of Alzheimer’s.  Pre and Post results were based on quantitative MRI and neuropsychological testing. This was based on using a complicated 36-point therapeutic program that includes the following:

  • comprehensive changes in diet;
  • brain stimulation;
  • exercise;
  • optimization of sleep;
  • specific pharmaceuticals and vitamins; and
  • multiple additional steps that alter brain chemistry.
